Merlin is an update to a current internal tool at LinkedIn which currently has upwards of 30 feature that are used by the Sales, Marketing and Recruitment teams on a regular basis. This project was a IA and UI rework in order to consolidate those features into a coherent and cohesive experience that could work for each of the business units.
An extensive feature identification process followed by recurring user interviews netted the project a much simpler and user forward design that focused on using company-wide relevance functions and tools to bring the features together for each of the original features into a single entity-based flow and account dashboards. This project was a collaboration with Stuart Norrie, a colleague of mine at LinkedIn and former Lead Designer for the Pulse News Aggregator mobile app.
